Minnie's Melting MomentsThere are many, many recipes for Minnie's mouthwatering confections. I chose an extremely simple version, but you can add a dash of vanilla extract to the mixture, or roll the balls of dough in dried coconut to give them a satisfying crunch. I can assure you that every variation would be welcomed by Minnie and her chums!
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar 3/4 cup butter Directions 1. Combine dry ingredients. 2. Cream butter until fluffy. 3. Add creamed butter to dry ingredients and beat thoroughly. 4. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. 5. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). 6. Shape chilled dough into 1-inch balls. 7. Place balls about 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 8. Flatten balls slightly with a lightly floured fork. 9. Bake for about 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. DO NOT OVERBAKE. 10. Serve with a cup of tea and a dollop of nonmalicious gossip. Enjoy! |
