I introduced Professor Bunny on the Aunt Dimity's World Facebook page several months ago. It seemed like a good idea to introduce him here, too, because he's very good at asking the right questions. The right question at the moment is, of course:
WHEN IS THE NEXT AUNT DIMITY BOOK
COMING OUT? I'm fairly certain that the next Aunt Dimity book will be published sometime in 2025. I'm afraid my answer is less definitive than many of you would like, but it's the best I can do.
The book's tardiness is due to a prolonged period of depression that made it difficult for me to concentrate on my work. I'm happy to report that, at the moment, the book is coming along nicely. As soon as I have a firm publication date, you can be sure that I'll post it here and on the Facebook page. Aunt Dimity, Reginald, Lori, Bill, and all of your friends in Finch thank you most sincerely for keeping the faith. As do I, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you! (And thank you, Professor Bunny!) |

Here's a message from my German editor, filled with good news: "I just wanted to let you know that Bastei Lübbe are currently in the process of signing the contract for the German publication of the 21st and 22nd Aunt Dimity book - I am very glad that we will continue your wonderful series. We have had great feedback from your German fans so far and I think that we also have reached a lot of people who weren't yet acquainted with the lovely village Finch and its inhabitants. The next book (#21) will be called in German "Tante Dimity und der verlorene Schatz" and it will be out at the beginning of December in ebook and paperback. Just in time for Christmas! It will be available for pre-order by the end of September - as soon as the book cover is ready. It's being drawn by Ommo Wille, the same illustrator, who drew the last cover. Bastei Lübbe will prepare a blog-post for our homepage, where we will reveal the cover and talk to the illustrator about the various stages of his work. Book 22 will be published in Summer 2018."

I will be one of the featured speakers at Authors' Day, the annual fundraising event held by the Colorado Springs chapter of the AAUW. Admission is $60.00 and includes lunch, a silent auction, talks by four Colorado authors, and the opportunity to purchase books (and have them signed!). Proceeds from the event go to the AAUW Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to women attending college in the Colorado Springs area.

A Tea Set Fit for a Queen
A BBC News article about Queen Elizabeth II's childhood toys was bound to grab my attention, but one featuring a PINK BUNNY TEA SET seemed almost too good to be true. I suspect England's reigning monarch would have gotten along very well with Aunt Dimity. If you'd like to see the tea set in person, it will be on display in the Royal Childhood exhibition at Buckingham Palace from July 26 to September 28, 2014. Tell them Reginald sent you!
